School Clean Air Program
School Bus Refueling Using Cleaner Fuel
Even with federal subsidies, the shift to EV buses will be expensive, especially for public school districts. The propane industry sees an opportunity to support us to seize this share of the auto sector. Its representatives are working hard for public officials to switch to propane-fueled school buses, which they claim are “near-zero emissions” vehicles that are better for kids and the climate. Young kids suffer from, allergies to exhaust, Asthma is a condition that affects some childrens airways and makes breathing difficult. The EPA agrees with us and willing to provide funding.

Many school districts across the country are charging kids to ride the bus to help offset some of the budget shortfalls they have experienced over recent years – a very controversial decision for many parents and students across the country.
Example: In Keller Independent School District, parents are facing a hefty fee to ride the bus or find another mode of transportation. According to CBS DFW, Keller parents will have to pay $185 each semester for a first child to ride the bus and $135 for a second child. Children who qualify for the free and reduced lunch program will be charged a discounted fee of $100.
After initially nixing the idea of a monthly payment plan, the district has relented and will allow parents to pay their bus fees on a monthly basis. However, students will have to carry identification cards that show whether fees are up to date. A new fuel card can be issued to address the dded cost. In addition, Fuel America can provide cleaner healthier burning fuel.

A fuel cell converts chemical energy of a fuel, like propane or hydrogen, into cleanly and efficiently produced electricity. Fuel cells are unique in part because of their flexibility and ability to be used in a variety of applications; they can provide power for systems as large as utility power grids and as small
After the EPA’s Clean School Bus funding was established in 2021, PERC expanded its campaign from a two-month blitz to a larger year-round.
The American School Bus Council estimates that U.S. school buses use over 800 million gallons of diesel fuel each year, equating to 1,800 gallons per year for each bus. We can augment those trucks with clean burning FuelOne Propane, CMS, or Renewable diesel fuel. With our trucks, parents will have a better cost effective fee structure for their families. Nationally, 26 million children in the U.S. take 480,000 buses to and from school each day. >>see More Employee Resource Group
