FuelAmerica Adds CNG/LNG/LPG to its Gasoline and Diesel Portfolio

CNG – and especially LNG – tends to corrode and wear the parts of an engine less rapidly than gasoline. Thus, it is quite common to find diesel-engine NGVs with high mileages (over 800,000 km (500,000 mi)). CNG also emits 20-29% less CO2 than diesel and gasoline.[20] Emissions are cleaner, with lower emissions of carbon and lower particulate emissions per equivalent distance traveled. There is generally less wasted fuel. In addition, LNG has a higher Octane rating than gasoline, with an octane rating of 112 RON/105 AKI making it less likely to cause engine knocking.

Natural gas vehicles (NGVs) are good choices for high-mileage, centrally fueled fleets because they can provide similar fuel range support for applications that stay within a region supported by reliable compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling.
